Hi All,

It's been quite a week!

the bad:
*abnormal ekg
*neupogen shots daily (boosts blood counts, side effect: aches & pains)
*insertion of central venous catheter/cvc (went into vein above heart while awake. they couldn't get first two in, finally forced third in=pain)
*three classes to learn how to give heparin shots via cvc daily and change cvc dressing
*signed a million and one papers
*saw lots of kids w/cancer (heartbreaking)
*no weekend off (have to go to hosp sat & sun for shots)
*megan cancelled trip (she's sick so i can't be near her)

the great:
*other heart tests normal
*ct scans clear
*colleen didn't leave wed---staying til tues!!!!!!!!
*uncle steve came for 2 days!!!!!!
*got the go ahead for the transplant!!!!!!!!
*pain meds (ahhhhh.....)
*will take stem cells out mon!!!!!!!
*back rubs (thank you mom and colleen!)
*care packages (thank you aunt colleen and maribeth!)
*cards (thank you many!)
