July 15, 1971 was a lucky day for me.

Today is Liz Dawson Prior's birthday.  Lizzy and I met in 1975 when my family moved in across the street.  We were four years old and 33 years later we are still the best of friends.  Our personalities really couldn't be more opposite, but we relish our differences and that makes a special friendship.  Whether near or far, we have always leaned on one another to lend an ear, share a laugh or shed a tear.  I couldn't have been happier to be a bridesmaid in her wedding when she married Ian, who I adore, or hold her daughter Sarah when she was born.   I am so honored to be her son Charlie's Godmother.  And I look forward to holding the next Prior baby in October! Liz has been by my side through it all and I am blessed to have her in my life.  My wish for everyone is not only health, but true friendship.
